This historic home, built by a well-known German architect in the late 1920’s, was fully restored in October of 2013 by a talented interior designer and artist.

You will rest deeply and enjoy your respite from the animated city, cocooned on the second story above one of the quietest streets in the historic downtown area. The house is quiet and tranquil, with very little traffic noise even outside on the open balconies. The building consists of a lovely lobby, two floor-through apartments, and an attic space (owners). With only two floor-through apartments in this building, both belonging to the owner, so you will not be disturbed by noise from other tenants or offices in the same building. Security is excellent. You must pass through three locked doors to enter, and the street door is locked at all times.

Rent is less than you would pay for one room in a fine hotel, and you will have a quiet, centrally located luxury accommodation with a comfortable imported memory foam bed, four extra large rooms to relax in, plus a fully equipped American standard kitchen.

The guest room is a lovely double room, with a cushy queen-size memory-foam mattress and 1000 thread-count sheets, abundant down-filled pillows and duvet, a large desk, chair, antique dresser, colorful art, and a full private bath adjoining. There is a large window to the courtyard, providing a bright, light-filled atmosphere with designer pull-down shades for privacy. The WIFI works throughout the house, which has a newly installed state-of-the art fiber optic internet system with mesh Wifi. There is a 42 inch plasma TV in the study with NETFLIX and all the channels you can want for free. If you have an IPOD with your favorite music, bring it and plug it into the BOSE speakers for your enjoyment.

The kitchen includes disposal and double stainless sink, large American made double-sided refrigerator with filtered water and crushed ice in the door, top of the line gas cook top and oven, US microwave, instant hot water, drinking water filtering system, and all of the dishes, cutlery, wine glasses, cooking implements and culinary items you would expect to find in a gourmet kitchen. It features wood floors, gorgeous granite counter tops throughout with imported painted antiqued hardwood cupboards, plus a cozy little balcony off the kitchen for coffee or tea breaks, overlooking the courtyard. Cuenca’s "eternal springtime" climate is consistently pleasant, we love to throw the french doors open for fresh air, and a portable heater if provided for your use on those cooler nights.

House Rules & Exclusions: We apologize: due to the luxury nature of the furnishings and fine antiques and carpets, our policy does not allow for children or pets, the minimum rental age is 30. Rentals are for 1-2 persons only. No additional guests will be authorized during the rental period. Large events are not permitted. (If you are looking for an event venue, ask about the first floor with courtyard # 1797898). This is strictly a non-smoking environment, smoking is permitted on the exterior balcony only. Stairs to the main entry mean this home is not suitable for handicap access.
